Production Role/Evaluation

Production role
For this unit we were asked to create a corporate film for Cromwell High School and the role assigned to me by my production manager was cheif editor. In our team we had 4 members all of which had different production roles; Michael Blair was the production manager of our group, his job role was to make sure everything was running smoothly and also to make sure everything was organised and going according to plan. Shaf Islam was the camera man and and helped Michael to make sure everything was running smoothly, almost like an assistant director; Joe Dootson was in charge of the paperwork, equipment and also helped me edit the film by keeping note of the tape logs and also he was in charge of keeping the group blog updated. The role I had was one of the most important as i had a series of shots to look through and edit into a film. As I am new at final cut I wasn't sure on how to use all of the tools that are on the software; to make the film I made I had to youtube some of the things I was unsure to ensure the film was the best I could make it. The shots we had transformed into a successful corporate film for Cromwell High School, the Head teacher was happy to see what we as a team had created, we stuck to the client brief and kept note of everything he asked for to put into the film. Overall our film got one of the highest marks, it took a lot of hard work, motivation and dedication to make this film successful and we made sure we kept to the brief, and followed all instruction given by the production manager and the client.
